Oh my gosh! It was ten o\u2019clock in the morning already? How long had I slept? I looked around and found that the sun was hangin<\/span>g<\/span> in the sky already. I was too tired to get up. I could only blame myself as I didn\u2019t sleep early on Saturday. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I tried to find my mom but I could not find her. She should be around home during that time of the day. Suddenly I heard \u201chey, hey\u2026Hey, hey\u2026 I\u2019m right here!\u201d said a soft voice. The voice was so high-pitched. It actually squeaked. I looked around the living room and saw a pinkish fairy flying around the chandelier. When I looked closer, it was Mom!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was completely confused, so I asked her.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMom? <\/span>You\u2026you are a fairy?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTechnically, I\u2019m a half-fairy<\/span>.<\/span>Y<\/span>ou may not know <\/span>this <\/span>because I have never told you before.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHalf? What do you mean?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYour grandmother was a fairy. She passed away after your birth so it\u2019s reasonable that you don\u2019t know much about her. But your grandfather is a human. So now, I have half of each of their blood so I\u2019m a half-fairy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut why are you a fairy now? It has never happened before.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s because it\u2019s Fairy Sunday. I will be normal when the sun goes down. But don\u2019t worry. This only happens once a century. Guess I\u2019m the lucky one then.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wow\u2026 that was shocking. But, it was a fact so I had to accept it. \u201cCeleste? Sweetie? One last thing\u2026 My whole body <\/span>has <\/span>shrunk so\u2026 <\/span>C<\/span>an you take care of me for the day?\u201d Mom said embarrassingly. Well, my mom took care of me since I was small. I guessed this was a payback.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Even though the sound was very soft, I heard a tiny grumbling sound from mom\u2019s stomach. But how could I feed her? Everything was so big and she was so small! I tore small pieces off my chicken breast, chopped so<\/span>me<\/span> bits off my broccoli and diced my eggs and gave them to Mom. It was like mini breakfast. She was full so what\u2019s next? Take a bath? No way! It was too troublesome. But then what\u2019s next? I knew<\/span> what to do!<\/span> I would put her to bed<\/span> s<\/span>o she could sleep until the moon rose.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, I made a comfy little bed out of a shoebox, cotton, Barbie\u2019s cushions and a handkerchief. \u201cLooks nice,\u201d I thought. Then she flew inside the \u201cbed\u201d and slept instantly. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

By the time she woke up, it was eight o\u2019clock in the evening. Hooray! This madness finally ended! When I tried to find Mom, I found a normal-sized woman crushing <\/span>the<\/span> home-made mini-bed. And it was her.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now I kn<\/span>o<\/span>w how mom feels when she has taken care of me for thirteen years! It has been tiring and exhausting and she still has to endure my tantrums. Since I know how she feels, I will be a good girl and control my temper.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
