The slight sunshine let me feel comfortable.\u00a0 Suddenly, the children picked up some stones and attacked me. I hid inside my shell immediately.\u00a0 The children laughed loudly and said that I was so weak, slow and useless.\u00a0 I really wanted to tell them I am not weak but humble.\u00a0 I hoped my attitude towards them could remind them a truth,<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u2018By being tolerant, you gain peace and calmness.\u00a0 Be humble and you\u2019ll reach a new horizon.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">If all the human beings could learn this lesson, they could live in a more peaceful world.\u00a0 Besides, I also wanted to remind them although people have to work very hard and efficiently, sometimes it is necessary to slow down and work with careful consideration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A few minutes later, the naughty children left and some elderly people came.\u00a0 Out of my expectation, they praised me.\u00a0 They said that I was a symbol of longevity and luck.\u00a0 They really hoped that they could live as long as I was.\u00a0 At that moment, I was so happy and proud of myself.\u00a0 I blessed the oldies heartedly that they could enjoy their life, just like me.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">I know sooner or later, my life will come to the end.\u00a0 I do not regret anything because my life is meaningful.\u00a0 It is difficult to earn everybody\u2019s praise, so instead we should respect and recognize our own value.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">I am an old and ugly tortoise.<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">I live in a park.<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Although my life is dull in many people\u2019s eyes, I still think that my life is enjoyable and meaningful.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">One day, when I rested on a rock leisurely, some naughty children laughed at me.\u00a0 Actually I did not care about them.
