\u00a0The walkathon would require much exercise which is tremendously lacking in everyday life. \u00a0Moreover, it is a time for relaxation. \u00a0Both parents and children can use this chance to improve communication and relationships. \u00a0This event not only benefits health, but also strengthens family bonding and helps Mainland students. \u00a0So don\u2019t hesitate to join this event! \u00a0By joining this walkathon, you can help hundreds of school kids in China to have a better school. \u00a0Walk to Build needs your support.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">The route of the walk<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The length of the walk is 4 km. \u00a0Part of the Lantau Trail is covered. \u00a0The starting point is Tung Chung and the finishing point is Tai O. \u00a0The route is along the coastline of Lantau Island. \u00a0You can savour the spectacular view of the airport, the sea and the neighbouring islands. \u00a0The trail is flat, gentle and easy to walk. \u00a0It is suitable for both beginners and experts. \u00a0No matter what level you are, you can enjoy the walkathon. \u00a0The estimated time needed would be six hours. \u00a0Everyone could complete this route in a day\u2019s time.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">The work of Walk to Build<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Walk to Build is a charity aimed at improving the learning conditions of students in China. \u00a0Walk to Build builds new schools in rural areas in China and poor provinces, such as Guizhou and Inner Mongolia. \u00a0The new schools built provide a safe and comfortable learning environment. \u00a0Provided with up-to-date teaching facilities, the teaching efficiency and effectiveness of the schools would be increased. \u00a0Since there will be more schools, the travel distance of students will be shortened and more children can go to school. \u00a0The main goal of the organization, in short, is to convert the population burden of China into intelligence resources. \u00a0By raising funds through holding walkathons, it can gather the capital it needs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">In addition, the organization hopes to increase the awareness of Hong Kong citizens towards education and poverty problems in China. \u00a0Education is the key to breaking the vicious cycle of poverty. \u00a0This charity is dedicated to achieving this goal and it needs your support.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why take part<\/p><p>The walkathon is a very meaningful activity. \u00a0All the funds raised will be donated to Walk to Build for constructing schools in rural China. \u00a0Apart from building new schools, it is a golden opportunity to improve parent-child relationships and health!
