Recently, I heard that my former college schoolmate, Arthur, has committed suicide. In college, no one could really be a friend of him because he loved investigating scary things like black magic and curses. To be honest, I am not so shocked that he committed suicide because investigating those things is very dangerous. Maybe he just accidentally cursed himself or learnt some new magic that required the death of the curser.<\/p>\n
My friend, Christopher, was an extremely curious person. When he heard that Arthur was dead, he became so excited that he wanted to go to see his house, and see if there is something interesting. I didn\u2019t feel comfortable because I really didn\u2019t want to see any of that scary things that might appear in his house.<\/p>\n
\u201cCome on, Samuel, it\u2019ll be fun! Think about the mysterious black magic. Oh yeah, maybe I can make my girlfriend more beautiful by that stuff!\u201d he said with excitement.<\/p>\n
\u201cStop thinking about your girlfriend Chris.\u00a0 That\u2019s not something belonging to earth! It\u2019s black magic! It\u2019s dangerous, you know?\u201d I replied angrily.<\/p>\n
\u201cCome on little feller, are you afraid?\u201d said Christopher.\u201d I\u2019m going there myself if you\u2019re afraid.\u201d<\/p>\n
Of course I couldn\u2019t leave my best friend in danger. At last, I gave up and went with him.<\/p>\n
When we entered Arthur\u2019s house, I felt like I can\u2019t stay for one more second. All of the walls were painted as black as coal, and there was a scary magic circle on one of those walls. On the television, I saw a doll with needles all over its body. The atmosphere was so unearthly that I wanted to leave at once.<\/p>\n
Then I saw Arthur\u2019s suicide note written by a piece of chalk on one of the walls. It seemed obvious that he committed suicide because he was too obsessed with the investigation of black magic and couldn\u2019t bear the uncanny atmosphere around him. Well, that might be the most stupid suicide note I had ever seen.<\/p>\n
Although the atmosphere in Arthur\u2019s house was so strange, Christopher was so excited that it seemed like he had found a gold mine. He looked all over the house.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey, come here, I found something interesting in the bathroom,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
I went into the bathroom and saw the word \u201cREDRUM\u201d on the wall.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo matter what it is, let\u2019s get out of here! This place is so strange!\u201d I cried.<\/p>\n
We left Arthur\u2019s house and sat down in a bar. We drank a little and discussed for a while. We both agreed that the word \u201cREDRUM\u201d was the key. We wrote down the word \u201cREDRUM\u201d on a piece of paper and started investigating.<\/p>\n
\u201cRed rum\u2026seems like it\u2019s a kind of rum. Maybe let\u2019s ask the bartender over there,\u201d Christopher said. So we asked the bartender if it\u2019s a kind of wine.<\/p>\n
\u201cUm…There is no wine called red rum. Where do you guys see it?\u201d the bartender replied.<\/p>\n
We didn\u2019t answer and we just left. Suddenly, I dropped the paper.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo Chris, No! Tell me it\u2019s not true! It\u2019s not true! \u201cI cried with tremendous fear.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t expect something like this either! No!\u201d<\/p>\n
